Koruldi Lakes

Koruldi lakes are located 10 kilometers from Mestia at 2740 meters. From the path leading to the lakes, there are beautiful views of Tetnuldi, Ushba, Mestia, etc.

You can get to Koruldi Lakes by off-road vehicle (4X4) or on foot. The hiking route and the lakes are really picturesque. The difficulty of the hiking route is simple, but you have to take into account that from Mestia, which is located at 1500 meters above sea level, you have to climb 1240 meters vertically. The total length of the trail (both ways) is 16 kilometers and it can be completed in 1 day. There are markings and signs on the trail. Note that there is no water on the trail, so take 1 day's worth of water and food.

Sometimes people are disappointed when they see the Koruldi Lakes, because they expect big lakes, but in fact, they are small beautiful lakes that reflect the surrounding snowy peaks and create amazing landscapes. If you are in Mestia and have some free time, our advice is not to miss this fabulous sight of Koruldi Lakes.

Recommended seasons to visit Koruldi Lakes are: summer and autumn. In winter and spring, the lakes are covered with snow, and the snow cover on the trail often exceeds 50 cm, which makes hiking on the trail impossible without snowshoes.
